The Institute for Leaders in Development identifies Colorado’s emerging development leaders and guides them through a rigorous, relevant and applied curriculum, passing the torch to up-and-coming non-profit leaders that will impact individual lives and diverse communities for years to come.
Our mission is to elevate Colorado’s nonprofit fundraising leaders by providing professional advancement opportunities that promote longevity in the field and excellence in philanthropy.
We are recognized as a thriving network dedicated to elevating the skills and talents of development professionals to preserve and grow the vitality of the philanthropic sector in Colorado.
Accountability | Ethics | Inclusivity | Ingenuity | Volunteer-Driven
Our commitment to prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion begins by reviewing, through an equity lens, and then improving policies and procedures for all aspects of our program, from volunteer recruitment to participant selection to curriculum development. We will thoughtfully recruit volunteers from historically marginalized populations to enhance ILD’s broad representation of nonprofit fundraising leaders and help break down barriers that may have precluded a more diverse pool of applicants. We envision ILD cohorts will include participants of all backgrounds and that they will feel welcomed and embraced for the unique and powerful perspectives and experiences they model for this program and for the future of the fundraising profession.
